As far back as his childhood, Ned has worked with trees and has gained the experience of a professional Certified Arborist. As a youth he worked with his father in the family tree business. Ned's "roots" in the tree profession started with maintenance and care of trees. He was also a tree climber and skilled in climbing trees. In his pursuit of making a career in the tree business he attended college and studied to become a Certified Arborist and started his own company which specialized in Big Tree Planting.

After several successful years of big tree planting, he decided to focus his skill on Arborist Consulting and Tree Preservation. Having worked in the tree business in the San Francisco Bay Area and Peninsula for over 25 years,

Ned is acutely familiar with the native landscape and vast types of trees that grow in the region as well as the challenges they face: increasing susceptibility to pest & disease, the affects of urban growth, and the intensified exposure to construction & development environments.
